Honda Civic

by Kenneth Tang

My very first detail on a car that does not belong to the family.

Elbow grease, old camera and old school Microsoft Paint helped me published my first post on this blog.

This car was given a good rub down using Meguiar’s ColorX followed by NXT Tech Wax.

The passenger side had some paint transfer which was sanded and hand rubbed with some Meguiar’s #80 Speed Glaze. I still remember like it was yesterday. That was my first time putting sandpaper to paint and was extremely careful and nervous at the same time.

I’m sure if I used a high-powered LED light, the sanding marks will appear. However, under natural lighting, it looks pretty damn good!

Oh the black trim also was given a good rub with Meguiar’s Trim Detailer, which I thought was the best product ever at that time.

I was very happy with the end result of this charity detail and this was the beginning of my obsession for shiny paint.
